47th Annual Holmstad Bazaar

Celebrating the Craftsmanship of Holmstad Bazaar Artisans

The annual Bazaar doesn’t raise revenue by charging admission or selling space to craft vendors. Starting each February, residents begin creating, growing, and donating what we offer at the September 20 Bazaar. Residents also invite you to explore the Bazaar shops that have secondhand furniture, household items, books and jewelry. And don’t forget the Bake Shop with lots of goodies baked by residents.

Meet Some of Our Resident Artisans

Discover the passionate artisans who shape our vibrant senior community.

Dave Anderson

Find Dave working in the Wood Shop most days. He volunteers as the resident manager of the Holmstad Wood Shop.

Karen Stebbins

Karen teaches knitting twice a week and has created a real sense of community among our residents.

Wilbur Zirk

Wilbur has been active in the Wood Shop since moving to The Holmstad in 2020. “The Wood Shop allows me to create any project I dream up.”

Judy Larson

Judy always likes to have a needlework project going. This year, Judy has made and donated two table runners for the Bazaar: one for the holidays and one for everyday use.

Laura Lamplough

Laura loves bringing joy to others with her weavings.“It’s the one thing I do during which I totally lose track of time.”

Rich Jacobson

Rich donates both the wood and his time saying, “It’s a good way to contribute to Holmstad’s Benevolent Care Fund.”

Marina Wray

Marina has never sold a quilt. “I give them away because I enjoy the look on someone’s face when they pick one of them out.” The Holmstad Bazaar is fortunate to be the recipient of her Christmas-themed quilt.
