Holmstad is now and always has been a community of volunteers
Residents are determined to make a difference for others. That’s why they dreamed up the annual Bazaar in 1977. Most residents pitch in every year to help make things to sell. We also organize Bazaar shops that offer our used books, jewelry, household items, and furniture. And don’t forget the Bake Shop with lots of goodies baked by residents!
This year, 69% of the Bazaar revenue will help residents fund scholarships and gifts for graduating teen employees, contribute to the Holmstad Benevolent Care Fund, our Good Samaritan Fund, and the Batavia Fire Department and Library. The remaining funds will buy buy craft supplies, books for our Holmstad library, and other enrichment programs.
